Promotional Summary:
The Board is a dramatic film that explores a person's soul which is represented by a board of directors. The members of this board (Mind, Memory, Emotion, Heart, Will, and Conscience) discuss and vote on seemingly mundane events until a co-worker poses a dilemma that has eternal consequences. When faced with a powerful indictment, the board's hypocritical self-defense is exposed as it wrestles with the ultimate decision that every person must make. This short-film fantasy will reveal the reality of how God speaks to your own soul as you consider your eternal destiny.
Strengths: The Holy Spirit came to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. This movie provides a dynamic medium for all three. Viewers will be challenged to think about themselves in relation to a holy God and gracious Gospel. Though extremely low-budget, the well-designed one-room set is more than adequate for staging a convicting dialog within the human soul.  Acting is also solid.
Weaknesses:  One's psyche cannot be delineated into separately functioning components.  Viewers must therefore wrestle with each component in relation to the whole.  As the producers undoubtedly realize this, more clarity would be helpful.  For example, Heart could be portrayed even more as the summation of mind, memory, emotion, conscience, and will.
