The Omega Code

Promotional Summary:
According to many, the Bible contains information about the future, even foretelling events that lead to the end of the world. The apocalyptic Book of Daniel and Book of Revelation are said to predict that "he who controls Jerusalem in the final days" will control the world.
What if someone could use the latest technology to finally untangle these prophecies, break the code, and learn the future of our history?
The Omega Code is a suspense thriller about just such an event--the discovery of the Bible's intangible secrets and hidden messages, and the fight to control the world before the end of days.
Michael York (Austin Powers), Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers), Catherine Oxenberg (Dynasty), and Michael Ironside (ER) star in this spectacular struggle between good and evil, filmed in the religious capitals of Jerusalem and Rome. Will events unfold as told through the prophesies? Or will all four learn the ultimate lesson from a supreme force greater than us all?
Strengths:
This movie creates enough action, suspense, and intrigue to maintain viewer interest. On-location filming is an asset.
Weaknesses:
The acting/directing of the main character, Casper Van Dien, is terrible. He is introduced as a stereotypically immature motivational speaker who does not have a handle on even his own life. And this guy helps save the world?
The Omega Code takes more than a few liberties with the Biblical text. How do you not adulterize Scripture when you wed science fiction (vis-a-vis an end-stage mystery code) to Bible prophecy? Also, how do you justify a save-the-world-as-is ending when the Scriptural ending is judgment and a new earth? How can some be obsessed with secret codes, yet ignore obvious truth?
